Information We Access

Photos

makemypost requests access to your Photos library to let you select content and generate posts.

  • Photo analysis and curation are performed using iOS frameworks on your device.
  • We do not upload your photos to our servers.
  • If your photos are stored in iCloud Photos, iOS may download originals to your device when needed. This is handled by Apple and governed by your iCloud and iOS settings.

App Data Stored On Your Device

makemypost stores certain information locally on your device to function properly, such as:

  • App preferences (e.g., default post style/type)
  • Usage counters (e.g., free-tier remaining posts)
  • Generation history (if you use history features)

This data is stored locally (e.g., iOS app storage). We do not receive it unless you choose to share it with us (for example, by emailing support).

AI Features

makemypost can generate captions and related text using Apple's on-device capabilities when available.

  • We do not send your photos to our servers for caption generation.
  • Depending on your device, iOS version, and settings, Apple's services and policies may apply to any AI processing performed by Apple-provided frameworks.

Purchases and Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

  • We do not receive your payment card information.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account subscription settings.

Sharing to Third-Party Platforms

When you choose to share content to social media (e.g., Instagram, TikTok), that content is sent from your device to that platform. Those services process data under their own privacy policies.

Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not run third-party advertising SDKs.
  • We do not intentionally track you across apps and websites.

Apple may provide aggregated diagnostics (such as crash reports) to developers depending on your device settings and Apple's policies. We do not operate those systems and do not control what Apple collects.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because makemypost does not use accounts and stores most app data locally:

  • You can delete local app data by deleting the app from your device.
  • Some features may also provide in-app options to clear history or reset data (where available).

Subscription records are maintained by Apple as part of your App Store account.

Children's Privacy

makemypost is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top when changes are made.
